Waimea Canyon

Kaua'i is one of Hawai'i's oldest islands. Water has carved its high central peaks into otherwordly shapes and isolated river valleys. We spent most of the first day driving up through Waimea Canyon, taking in fog laden views of the north coast at road's end. Rain and the setting sun sent us back to our campsite leaving us looking forward to the next day for further exploration.
