Kilauea Crater

Ohelo Ai, also known as the Hawai'ian huckleberry. It is a smaller version of bushes that can be found on many of Hawai'i's islands. It is wonderful to see such a tough little plant with such green leaves and fat berries flourish in such a place. From cracks in the pahoehoe defiantly burst these little buggers reminding us that life can not be easily vanquished, that life, too, is a force to be reckoned with.
