The initial ascent is up through Norway Pass along the Boundary Trail. Colors of startling intensity greet my every view. The flowers provide eye catching contrast to the sun bleached trunks and limbs that lay scattered across the valley walls and ridge tops. As I climb I am in awe of the resourcefulness of life in the face of the worst natural disasters.
