Mount St. Helens Meander St. Helens Soliloquy
In a moment,
What was once vibrant,
Variety of form, behavior,
In one single moment.
Why?
After a million years of quiescence,
Life is erased by forces
For which there truly are no words.
Vigorous,
And wondrously alive
Lay buried beneath ash and mud.
And grace
Cast into eternal shadow.
